Advice Needed

I found a web-site with these swim suits that I really like. They are long tankini's which is great. They are a little spendy, but they are much better at covering up than most swim suits I've seen. I've decided I want to buy one, but I don't know which one. So I've decided to ask you all out there for some advice. There are two different patterns for tops I'm concidering and two different cuts. And then two different bottoms for each top. Lots of choices!!! Please leave a comment with what you like best.

Style One: GNO

Bottom One: Brown

Bottom Two: Brown Polka Dot

Style Two: Aqua Bay
Cut One: V-neck

Cut Two: Tank

Bottom One: Brown

Bottom Two: Blue

When Mommy's Away Daddy Will Play

I had to go to school for a few hours and leave Evelyn at home with her daddy. When I came home Evelyn had a Fo-Hawk! Stephen likes to give her funny hair-dos (like fo-hawks and horns) but he usually does so with a little water. This time he gelled it! It lasted all evening. Stephen said it was a Public Service Announcement. Can you guess what the announcement was?

*Announcement: Little Evelyn is a little punk. Use alternate route if possible.

We Did It!

Yesterday Stephen and I graduated from Institute! Yey us! There was a nice little ceremony at the student ward (even though nearly half of the graduates are married and have been shipped off to the family wards). All the graduates sat up on stage, which meant that Evelyn got to sit on stage as well. She did pretty good up there considering I have had to walk out of nearly every Sacrament meeting for the last 2 months. It must have looked silly though, when Stephen and I had to keep passing her off. We had both been asked to share our testimonies about the Institute program. I got up to speak, and then when I finished, I got handed Evelyn as Stephen stepped to the podium. The same thing happened when they handed out the diplomas. When Stephen shared his testimony, he spoke about his mom's experiences with Institute and how important it had been to her. He had mentioned some bits of his mom's history, like that she had intented to be a nun and that she graduated from BYU before she joined the church. After the ceremony, a woman approached Stephen and said that she thinks she had had an English class with her and that Stephen's mom's testimony had helped her during her own personal strugles and that now, 30 some years later, she still remembered that special young woman. I think that is so cool! It just goes to show you that no matter where you are physically, emotionally, or spiritually, someone is watching you. And if you are living the gospel, that someone, member or not, is using you as an example.

Big Baby!

Evelyn had yet another WIC appointment last Thursday. I'm always a bit apprehensive going to the WIC office because the first lady I met with sort of yelled at me, but that's a different story. The lady I usually see is really nice and we have a good time during our meetings. Thursday, I met with yet another woman. I was a little surprize because when she called my name she looked like the sort who is really stand-offish and sharp tounged. But she was really nice too! We weighed and measured Evelyn. She is now 16lbs. and 11oz (85% for weight!) and 26in (90% for height!). My baby is hardly a baby! Stephen tried to tell me the other day that we needed to be more careful about how often she ate because she was getting chuncky. I told him that she looked how babies are supposed to look. And her weight to body ratio (or whatever it is) is in the 50% percentile. My baby's not fat, she's big boned! Oh, and Evelyn is very excieted! For Stephen's birthday (2 days after Evelyn's 6 month birthday) she is going to get to try her very first real food! Yey baby cereal!

Look What I Can Do!

Evelyn is growing up so fast. She is learning to sit up all on her own. Just don't surprise her or be interesting at all. Sitting up takes full concentration and a lot of focus.

See, I told you not to surprise her.

Evelyn doesn't like to smile for the camera, but she'll stare it down.

P.S. Evelyn blinks less than... well, anybody I know.

Please, sir, I want some more.

Kisses from Mommy.

Game over!

Baby in the Mirror

Evelyn likes to look at the strange baby who lives in the mirrors at home. Today she tried to kiss the baby! We're still a ways away from discovering that the baby is Evelyn.

I see you!

Stuffed Animals

Evelyn likes to put everything in her mouth (big surprise, I know). She also likes to give her stuffed animals kisses. They might not appreciate getting all slobbery, but she sure loves them! And she always looks so surprised when we catch her red handed making out with her bears.
